Chef Tushar Tondvalkar

Tushar Tondvalkar, chef and founder of The Indian Pantry, is also the Culinary Director at Manzil at Kismet Winery. He is known for creating contemporary Indian dining experiences in Metro Vancouver. Before starting his own ventures, he honed his skills at top Vancouver restaurants such as Bauhaus, Fish House in Stanley Park, and Blue Water Café. Tushar successfully opened and served as the executive chef at Mumbai Local in Vancouver. He has also gained valuable experience through internships at the renowned Michelin-starred restaurants Gaggan and Gaa in Bangkok.

Driven by a passion to change Western views of Indian cuisine, Chef Tushar loves introducing people to the diverse flavors of India. He highlights the richness and variety of regional Indian food. Additionally, Tushar won the cooking competition show "Chefs vs. Wild" on Hulu/Disney+
